Carol and John (Jr.) Tomlin of Covington announce the engagement of their daughter Ashley Ann Tomlin to Daniel Gene Malcom, son of Barbara and William (Jr.) Malcom of Covington.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James and Scottie Edwards of Covington and the late Lois White and (Sr.) Wesley Tomlin. She is currently enrolled in Georgia Perimeter College’s nursing program and will graduate in May 2011 as a registered nurse. Ashley is a server at R.L.’s off the Square in Covington.

The future groom is the grandson of Betty and Gene Henderson of Oxford and Dolores and William (Sr.) Malcom of Covington. He is currently employed at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center.

The couple plan to marry Dec. 18 at High Point Baptist Church.
