Gene and Jackie Medeiros and Brady Snellgrove of Conyers announce the engagement of their daughter Brandilyn June Snellgrove to Mark Daniel Tumlin of Covington, son of Charles and Jeanette Berry of Covington and Danny and Sonja Tumlin of Monticello.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Frank and Diane Boze of Newborn, Gene and Evelyn Medeiros of Stockton, Calif., the late Brady and Freda Snellgrove of Conyers and the late Erma Boze of Conyers. She is a graduate of Rockdale County High School and is pursuing a degree in criminal justice. She is employed with the Newton County District Attorney's Office.

The future groom is the grandson of Pairzelle Rushing of Monticello, the late Sidney Tumlin of Valley, Ala., Lois Owings of West Columbia, S.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubert A. Posey of West Point. He is a graduate of Eastside High School and is employed by People's Home Medical in Covington.

The couple will wed Oct. 15 at Tybee Island.
