COVINGTON - On Monday, the Eastside High golf teams retained the Newton Cup by outplaying crosstown rivals Alcovy and Newton at Indian Creek Golf Club. For the Eastside boys, who competed using a modified alternate shot, it was their fourth year in a row winning the title, finishing the two-day event with an overall score of 535. Newton followed with a 687, while Alcovy finished third with a 692.
