The football season is over for the three local schools of Newton County. Seniors walked off the field for the final time and coaches gave their final speech of the regular season. Although the games are over the season isn’t complete until the players are honored by the local paper for their contributions. We present you with the 2015 All-County football team. Stats and recommendations were provided by coaches. The decisions were tough, as some players – even ones on the same team – were close in stats. Numbers played a big part in picking what player went where, as well as recommendations. Players that had similar stats, but might have looked better on the field or had a bigger impact were given more consideration. Because there were so many players worthy there is an honorable mention section for those who didn’t have the numbers, but still had a big impact on their team. Enjoy.

Quarterback: Romario Johnson (Newton) – All-Region 2-AAAAAA Offensive Player of the Year. 115-187 Passing, 1,960 yards passing, 15-4 TD/INT ratio, 75 rushes-592 8 TDs.

Offensive Lineman: Alex Jacobs (Newton) – Graded out at 85 percent.
Offensive Lineman: Jarret Mobley (Alcovy) – Graded out at 86 percent. 8 pancake blocks. Started all 10 games.
