The Conyers Police Department is on the look-out for the man who reportedly broke into the Hedrick and Dodson Dentist office early Sunday morning.

Shortly before 3 a.m., officers responded to an alarm at the dentist office. Upon arrival, an officer reportedly observed a man attempting to exit the basement door on the west side of the building. The suspect reportedly saw the officer and ran back inside the office.

A few moments later, the suspect emerged from the front of the building and ran west toward Hunting Creek Plaza. Officers gave chase, but lost the sight of the suspect near Sherwood Forest.

After establishing a perimeter, a K-9 unit tracked the suspect's scent to an outbuilding on Sherwood's property, but the man had already left the area.
The suspect was reportedly described as a black man in his mid-20s wearing blue jeans, a white hoodie and a blue and green flannel jacket. The man is reportedly between five-feet-eight-inches and five-feet-10-inches tall and between 160 and 175 pounds. During the break-in, the suspect reportedly wore latex gloves which were discovered at the scene.

No items were reported missing from the office, though the officer allegedly observed the man attempt to flee with a jug of coins that were recovered inside the building.

The CPD is asking that anyone with information on this burglary to please contact one of their detectives at (770) 483-6600 or by calling their anonymous tip line at (770) 483-TIPS (8477).
