In Sunday's paper, we had another positive business announcement, as the closed Indian Creek golf course was recently purchased by six investors and is scheduled to reopen Aug. 1.
We hope this is another positive sign that the local economy is turning around and that businessmen are more willing to invest in our community. The Bypass Road is a commercial corridor city planners expect to grow significantly in coming years and a vibrant golf course only aids in that development.
The news is also welcomed by the numerous homeowners whose properties abut the course and who could have seen there values decline significantly if the course fell into disrepair.
The course reopening benefits all of us, including golfers, residents or people simply looking for another restaurant to add variety to their daily lunch choices.
We wish the new owners well and look forward to the course's grand reopening.
