Mrs. Sue Astin Truelove, 82, passed away peacefully at Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester, Va., on Sept. 26.

Mrs. Truelove was a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother. She graduated from Commercial High School in 1947. In her youth, she was an active member of Capital View Baptist Church in Atlanta. She played the French horn with the school marching band and studied piano for 13 years. Over the years, she was employed by various government agencies, namely the IRS, FAA and the CDC in Atlanta.

Mrs. Truelove was preceded in death by her husband H. Alvin Truelove; her parents Alva Clinton and Lilly Pearl Astin; sisters Ruth Lovejoy and Beverly Nance; and brother Alva Clinton Astin Jr.

Survivors include her four children Pam, Kay, Ray and Ben; seven grandchildren Gabe, David, Amy, Matt, Daniel, Brian and Jacob; and two great-grandchildren Vanessa Noelle and Addison McCall; and sister Laura Astin of Forest Park.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Truelove will be held tomorrow, Oct. 1, at 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Adam Cooper officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home today, Sept. 30, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
