Mr. Pate Massey age 87 of Covington died Friday, July 13, 2012 at Abbey Hospice. He was born in Homer, Georgia on March 6, 1925 to the late Charles and Ada Massey.  He proudly served this great country in the United States Navy and was retired from General Motors-Lakewood Plant after 35 years and he was a Jack of All Trades.  Pate was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Mr. Massey is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Massey of Covington; daughter and son-in-law: Dianne and Larry Allen; sons and daughter-in-law: Gary and Debbie Massey, Richard Massey all of Covington; grandchildren: Blane and Barclay Allen, Kristi and Brad Williams; great grandchildren: Greer Allen, Claire Allen, Hayden Williams and Baylee Williams.

The funeral service for Mr. Massey will be held at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home on Sunday, July 15, 2012. Interment will be in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Pastor Jim Fisher will officiate the services. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 14, 2012 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.
