Mrs. Nancy  Bohanan of Royston, GA died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Newton Medical Center.  She was born on February 4, 1937 in Oxford, GA to Harold and Pauline Mobley Stephens.  Mrs. Bohanan was a member of Allen Memorial United Methodist Church and was employed by the Newton County School System.  She was active in the Girl and Cub Scouts while living in Newton County.  Mr. and Mrs. Bohanan moved to Royston, GA in 1989 where she became a member of Royston United Methodist Church and was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class and the Joy Circle.  She also served as the Mission Chairperson and participated in the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission.  Mrs. Bohanan also volunteered at Royston Elementary School in their Reading Program. 

Mrs. Bohanan is survived by her Husband of 55 years, Darrell Bohanan, their four children and their spouses; Russ Bohanan of Royston, GA, Dara and Chuck McDaniel of Monticello, GA, Brent and Jennifer Bohanan of Auburn, GA and Bonny and Stephen Hicks of Bishop, GA eleven grandchildren; Adam Bohanan, Hannah Bohanan, Emma Bohanan, Lydia Bohanan, Joshua Bennett, Devin McDaniel, Chelsea McDaniel, Jacob Bohanan, Joseph Bohanan, Natalie Hicks and Nicolas Hicks six great grandchildren; Abbie and Sophie Bohanan, Austin and Gavin Bennett, Connor Hughey and Jonathan Hunter.  She is also survived by her sister, Agnes Campbell of Snellville and her sister-in-law, Pattie Stephens of Canton, GA.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bohanan will be held at 11AM on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Allen Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. Davis Chappell officiating.  Interment will follow at Oxford Historical Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 4, 2011 from 5:00PM unitl 8:00PM. Those desiring may make contributions to The United Methodist Children’s Home 500 S.
