Mrs. Ethel Gibson Holt, age 93, of Covington formerly of Jena, LA passed away June 2, 2011.  She was born December 22, 1917 in Henderson, Texas to the late Earnest Langhorn and Bessie Hardwick Gibson.  Mrs. Holt loved to take care of her family, she was a devoted wife and mother, and was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Fred R. Holt and three Brothers; Oris Gibson, Ferrell Gibson and Odie Gibson. 

Mrs. Holt is survived by her Daughter and Son-in-law Carol and Patrick Durusau of Covington, GA, Son and Daughter-in-law Fred and Becky Holt of Costa Rica and Son and Daughter-in-law Richard and Nicarca Holt of Anaco, Venezuela, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  She is also survived by two Brothers Melvin Gibson of LaVaca, Arkansas and Wallace Gibson of Reynoldsburg, Ohio along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Holt will be held at the New Prospect Church in Chruchhill Texas.  The family will receive friends at Harwell Funeral Home in Covington from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, June 3, 2011.  In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations to their local library.  Harwell Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel, 2157 East Street SE, Covington, GA 30014 is in charge of arrangements. www.harwellfuneralhome.com
