Mrs. Daisy Lee Tuggle was born on Nov. 18, 1925, to the late Mr. Bedford and Mrs. Addie Key in Jasper County, Monticello.

Daisy was a devoted member of New Prospect Liberty C.M.E Church, where she served on the Mother’s Board as well many other committees and served diligently until her health declined. She enjoyed shopping. She had a green thumb; her flowers were always beautiful. She worked in private home healthcare for many years.  

Daisy departed her life on earth the morning of March 16, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isom Tuggle; wto daughters, Mary Elizabeth Lawrence and Charlotte Mae Wilborn; four sisters, Nora Lee (Robert) Terrell, Leila Kate (Henry) Durden, Esther Mae Perry and Clara Lee Smith; one granddaughter, Viondi Hardeman; one grandson, Zachary Quientin Lawrence; one great-grandson, Tao Natari Lawrence; one great-great-grandson, Jalen Lawrence.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, John Tuggle; 16 grandchildren; two very devoted grandchildren, Scott Hardeman and Yolanda Hardeman; 24 great-grandchildren 15 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-laws, Theodis Perry and Earl Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. 

A funeral service was held at noon Thursday, March 21 at New Prospect Liberty CME Church, 21131 Highway 11 N., Monticello, with the Rev. Dwahn Turner and the Rev. Marlene L. Durden officiating. 

The family of the late Mrs. Daisy Lee Tuggle would like to express their gratitude to each of you for your prayers and acts of kindness shown to them during this time. May God’s richest blessings shower upon each of your life.
