        Mr. Willie Gene Henderson was born November 17, 1924, to the late Ms. Julia Mae Henderson in Covington, Georgia.

     He got saved at an early age, where he was a member of Gospel Peace Mission Church under the leadership of Rev. Annie Kale Blackwell, later he joined Springfield Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C. H. Glover.

     Willie enjoyed working for Newton County School System until he retired. He enjoyed fishing, playing checkers, singing and most of all, making friends and family laugh.

     He departed this life on November 29, 2014. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Lequita Bell.

     He leaves to mourn, his wife, Mrs. Mattie Pearl Henderson, one brother, Mr. Willie Frank Pridgett, eight step-children, a beloved great granddaughter, Makiah Jeffries, a close cousin, Ms. Annie Ruth Brown, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
