Mr. Lewis DeWayne Scott, 49, of Covington, died on Nov. 2. Born in Greenville, S.C., Mr. Scott was a former cabinet maker and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his mother Virginia Sanders Schellenberg and her husband Walter, of Covington; his father Leonard R. Scott of Greenville; his wife Debbie Scott of Simpsonville; daughter Megan Scott of Simpsonville; granddaughter Alyssa Lucas; sister Cindy Scott Edwards of Deland, Fla.; brother Randy Scott of Piedmont; half-sister Michelle Scott of Lake Hartwell; half-brother Tommy Scott of Anderson; his long-time special friend Johnnie Sanders of Covington; and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be held today, Nov. 7, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast, 1604 NE Main Street, Simpsonville with the funeral service following at 3 p.m. at the Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in Cannon Memorial Park.
