Mr. George Mervin Nolley was born on Feb. 16, 1944, in Jasper County, Georgia.

To the late Mr. & Mrs. George (Lottie Mae Jefferies) Richard Nolley. He was educated in Jasper & Newton County.  Mervin joined the Rock Spring Missionary Baptist Church on February 15, 2015, where he served as an Usher.

Peace & Love was a gentle giant who never let grass grow under his feet. He loved music (Johnny Taylor) he loved traveling with his children, family & friends, he never met a stranger, but most of all he loved Jesus Christ.

Mervin was the second child of 13. He is preceded in death by siblings, Ruby Lee Barr, Clifford O’Neal Nolley, James Lester Nolley, Tommy Lee Nolley, Lamar Gary Nolley and Chuck Nolley.  

He leaves to cherish his memories, Andrew (Kimberly) Dennis, Tina (Calvin) Fann, John Martin, Stacie Belcher, Quentin (Christie) Nolley three sisters, Mrs. Peggy Nolley Allen, Conyers, GA, Mrs. Ethel Mae Johnson, Covington, GA, Ms. Priscilla Ann Nolley, Covington, GA three brothers, Mr. Jimmy (Rachel) Nolley, Covington, GA,  Mr. John Wayne (Pam) Nolley and Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Stephanie) Nolley, all of Anniston, AL, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, Feb. 26, at Rock Spring Baptist Church in Mansfield.
