Eula Mae “Maw Maw” Smith, 91 of Porterdale, passed away peacefully at Riverside Health Care, Wednesday, June 29, 2016. She was born in Porterdale to the late Troy and Lona Mann Rutledge. Eula Mae attended Tabernacle of Praise. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved her family and the Lord beyond measure. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 51 years, Virgil Smith; and children Troy Smith, Sonny Smith, and Peggy Avant.

Eula Mae is survived by her daughter and son in law Carolyn and Terry Hyatt of Oxford; son and daughter in law James “Bugga” and Sherry Smith of Covington; grandson Shane and Heather Smith of Covington; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sister Mary Rutledge of Covington; brothers Lamar Rutledge and Troy Rutledge, Jr. both of Covington, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 1, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Tabernacle of Praise 3024 Hwy. 11 Mansfield, GA with Pastor Steve Hall officiating. Interment followed after at Oxford City Cemetery.
