Mrs. Ethel  Fisher of Oxford, died June 3,  at Social Circle Nursing and Rehab Center.  She was born on April 30, 1926 in Glenwood, to Albert and Clifford Harville.

She worked numerous years at Lithonia Lighting until she retired. She was a member at Canaan Baptist Church and enjoyed square dancing, baking cakes and gardening. She was also a member of the Porterdale Women’s Club.

Mrs. Fisher is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Edna and Henry Baker, Gloria and Toney Blackwell, Gwen Darnell and Julie and Steph Mabie; sons and daughters-in-law Dewey and Ann Fisher, Frank and Sharon Fisher; brothers and sisters-in-law AJ and Jaynie Harville,  Johnny and Sara Harville, sister Nell Reeves; along with 14 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Fisher, who passed away in 1994.

Services will be held today, June 7, at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home, 11405 Brown Bridge Road, with Rev. Dewey Fisher officiating.  Interment will be at Lawnwood Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
