Burris B. Snow, Jr., of Porterdale, died April 30, 2009, at Sacred Journey Hospice, at the age of 82. Born in Columbus, GA, to the late Burris B., and Lucille Goodman Snow, he was raised in Macon and in 1944 moved to Porterdale, where he lived the rest of his life. Mr. Snow was a member of Porterdale Baptist Church, was retired from Bibb Manufacturing Co. and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Dial Snow and his son, Tyrone Snow. Survivors include his son, Charles T. Snow of Porterdale; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy S. and Jim Darby of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Mr. Snow will be held on Saturday, May 2, 4:00 PM at Lawnwood Memorial Park, with Rev. Dickie Johnson officiating.
