Bertrice Moseley, age 95, of Covington, passed away January 20, 2009. Born in Ft. Valley, Ga. April 16, 1913 to the late Will Buck Pearson and Clara Jo Slappey Pearson, she was a member of Covington First Baptist Church. Bert loved her 9-Hole Golf Group at Fieldstone Country Club in Conyers, where she played until she was 93 years old. She also loved her "Bridge" friends and her "Lunch Bunch" friends who were most dear to her. She is preceded in death by her former husbands George H. Braswell and A. Ray Jones, daughter Jo Ann Barber of Duluth, sister, Evelyn Terry of Thomasville, and brother, Buck Pearson of Ft. Valley.

Survivors include husband, Kenneth Moseley; daughters and sons-in-law: Cherry and Bob Rutland of Covington, Sally and Woody Giezentanner of Asheville, NC, Norman Barber of Duluth; sisters, Norma Jo Hodges of Montezuma, Claudia Mae Holmes of Ft. Valley, Pearl Seale of Huntsville, AL, Patty Davis of Ft. Valley; grandchildren, Holly and Tom Seignious, Brant and Renee Barber, Dawn and Ken Trygg, Shelly and Hunter Hall, Carie and Clete Cordero, Hunter and Joanna Teske, Blake Teske; fifteen great grandchildren.

A celebration of life for Bertrice Moseley will be held Saturday, January 24, 11:00 AM at Covington First Baptist Church, with Dr. J. Truett Gannon and Rev. Jason Dees officiating and interment in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.The family will receive friends Friday, January 23, at Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Covington First Baptist Church, 1139 Floyd Street, Covington, Ga. 30014.
