Artis F. Middlebrooks of Covington, passed away January 6, 2010, at the age of 73. Mr. Middlebrooks enjoyed watching football, baseball, and Nascar; and loved fishing, hunting, and dancing. He was preceded in death by his son, Artis F. Middlebrooks, Jr., and his parents, Clinton and Emma May Horn Middlebrooks. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and James Holloway of Madison; sons and daughters-in-law, Brett and Kay Middlebrooks of Conyers, Tony Middlebrooks of Covington, Randall and Tammy Middlebrooks of Madison; 5 grandchildren; brother, Bill Middlebrooks of Covington. Funeral Services for Mr. Middlebrooks will be held Saturday, January 9, 2010, 4 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Rd, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, January 8, from 6-9 PM.
