Anne F. Laxson, 71, of Huntsville, died Dec. 9 at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Laxson was preceded in death by sons, Tommy Laxson of Huntsville and Gary Laxson of Hinesville; sisters, Myrtice Singley of Covington, Ga., and Nellie Durden of Walnut Grove, Ga.; and brother William Herring of Covington.

Survivors include her husband, William Laxson; daughters, Kimberly Laxson of Huntsville and Gina Guthrie of Social Circle; son, Wallace Herndon of Monroe; sisters, Catherine McRay, Joyce Mathis, Lillie Grace Womack, and Dorothy Tally, all of Covington, and Mary Reynolds of Warner Robbins; brother, J.A. Herring of Monroe; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Dec. 13 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home; the funeral will follow at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
