A Flash Foods clerk told a Newton County Sheriff’s Office deputy that they observed a male and a female in the parking lot of the Salem Road store arguing.

According to NCSO investigator Michael Cunningham, as the clerk exited the store to intervene, they saw the male “in an aggressive manner forcibly put the female in the car and drive off.

The clerk was able to give deputies a description of the truck that drove off.

After deputies arrived on scene, the female walked back into the store. Cunningham said she told deputies that she didn’t know the male’s name.

The incident is still under investigation.
