A woman was arrested at Homewood Suites in Covington for possession of methamphetamine, according to the Covington Police Department (CPD).
Officers were dispatched to the hotel Sunday afternoon in reference to a suspicious person. According to the report, the caller said a woman was knocking on room doors of the hotel stating that she could not remember where she put her clothes and her drugs.
The officer arrived to the hotel room where the woman was located, which was rented to the caller William Cribb, who said he was unfamiliar with the woman and allowed her to come in and use the phone.
According to CPD, the woman appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance. She was asked for identification but said she did not have any while dumping her belongings on the floor. She refused to give her name when asked multiple times, but was finally identified as Kayla Bone, 27.
Bone consented to a search of her belongings and officers found a glass pipe containing a crystallized substance believed to be methamphetamine, according to the CPD. Bone was then taken into custody and transported to the Newton Law Enforcement Center.
Cribb was found to have an active warrant and was also taken into custody.
