Two more movie projects are looking at sites in Newton County as the area continues to be a hotbed for filming. A horror movie is looking to film in Newton County's rural southern portion, an area that recently served as a desolate backdrop for the TV series "The Walking Dead", which is playing currently on AMC. Another project is considering filming in the county's parking deck, located across from the Newton County Administration Building at the corner of Usher and Elm streets.
