The Newton County Sheriff’s Office has no suspects and no witnesses in the break-ins that occurred along Piper Road last weekend.
Six businesses, all listed as commercial premises on the NCSO reports, informed deputies there were break-ins between midnight Saturday, Nov. 29 and 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1.
The businesses affected with invasion of privacy and criminal trespass were 56 Piper Road, 62 Piper Road, 68 Piper Road, 80 Piper Road, 92 Piper Road and 156 Piper Road.
“No arrests have been made, and no witnesses located,” NCSO Sgt. Cortney Morrison said. “We’re looking at what we can do to stop this from happening, making contact with business owners and setting up patrols.”
