Police search for arson suspects, offer reward

On Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, during the early hours of the morning, an unknown suspect(s) intentionally set fire to two Pure Service Stations in Covington. Due to the proximity of the stations, one located at 4111 Emory St., the other located at 4144 Ga. Highway 278, and similar circumstances of the events surrounding the fires, these events are believed to be related.

The Georgia Arson Control Board and the Georgia State Fire Marshall is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible.

This is a joint investigation between the Covington Police Department, Covington Fire Department, Georgia State Fire Marshall and ATF.
