NSCO on the hunt for burglar

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a burglary suspect and is asking residents to be on the lookout as well.

At approximately 11:50 a.m. May 13, a tan-complexioned male forcibly broke into a home on Ga. Highway 142. The burglar encountered the owner of the home and immediately fled in a white compact car, possible a two-door Honda.

The male appeared to be between 30 and 35 years old, was approximately 5’7" to 5’9" in height, 140 pounds with dark medium-length curly hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the burglary.
