A mother remains jailed after allegedly threatening her teen son with a knife because he didn't do his chores.
Claudine Sinclair reportedly became angry at her juvenile son Monday evening for not completing chores she had given him earlier in the day. She told investigators she got a knife from her kitchen to pick the lock to the teen's bedroom door. When she entered, she did so with the knife held over her shoulder (like she was going to stab the child), according to Newton County Sheriff's Office Lt. Tyrone Oliver. She did not touch the child with the knife in any way.
The boy ran from the room and went downstairs where he attempted to call 911. At that time she intercepted the call and hung up the phone.
Sinclair was arrested and charged with Family Violence Act terroristic threats, cruelty to children and interfering with a call for emergency help.
