Update, 7:05 p.m.: The missing man who had a Mattie's Call issued for him has been found, authorities reported Tuesday evening.

Taurus Mitchell, 19, returned home unharmed, according to Newton County Sheriff's Deputy Cortney Morrison.

Original story: The Newton County Sheriff’s Office has issued a statewide Mattie’s Call for a missing 19-year-old hearing impaired male by the name of Taurus Mitchell.

Even though Taurus Mitchell is 19-years-old, he has the mental capacity of a 9-10 year old. His mother reported him missing yesterday and he was discovered missing Sunday morning. Taurus Mitchell is described as 6-feet tall, 170 lbs. and wears a hearing aid in his left ear. He has a mole on one of his forearms, unsure of which one, and he was last seen wearing a black hoodie, a neon green sweater, blue jeans and black ankle length socks. Taurus Mitchell does wear glasses but left them at home and can’t see well without them.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts or who has contact with this missing person is strongly urged to contact 911 or the Newton County Sheriff’s Office with this information at (678) 625-1400.
