Man loses wheel, crashes motorcycle

A man traveling south on Hwy. 212, approximately 50 feet past Hwy. 36, crashed after his front wheel came off Friday.

According to reports, the man left the right side of the road and was ejected from the motorcycle after the wheel came off the bike.

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office said the man complained of injuries to his left arm and back/neck. He was transported to Clearview Medical.

Fuel

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint that approximately 1,000 gallons of fuel was stolen from the Chevron Station on Almon Road Thursday.

According to reports, the owner said he has video surveillance of someone being at his store for approximately 45 minutes when the theft occurred.
