Covington resident Travis Glenn Lynch, 21, lost control of his 1986 Corvette while rounding a curve on Gum Creek Road near Dial Mill Road Saturday at 3:55 p.m., eventually going airborne, returning to the ground and striking a tree. "The vehicle crossed the centerline, came back into the lane, the right wheels left the road on the right side, then the vehicle crossed both lanes of the road, left the road on the west side, became airborne, landed on its wheels, and then struck a tree. Lynch was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center.
