Fast thinking and keen observational skills by a neighbor nabbed three burglary suspects last week.
According to reports, a man called 911 around 1:48 p.m. June 16 and reported that three men were burglarizing a home off Dearing Road. The man reportedly gave excellent descriptions of the three suspects while speaking with dispatch operators as well.
Deputies arrived and after speaking with the witness put out a BOLO (Be On The Lookout) for all three suspects. By the end of the day the men — 18-year-old Marcellus Nipple, 23-year-old Lorenzo Moore and 18-year-old Jelani Forde — had all been arrested and charged with burglary.
“It’s obviously efficient for neighbors to look out for neighbors,” said Newton County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Cortney Morrison. “With help from the community these three were caught quickly.”
