Covington man arrested for allegedly stabbing supervisor

A Covington man was arrested Sunday, after he allegedly assaulted and stabbed his supervision at an Atlanta mail-processing plant.

Claudius Mapp, 43, was arrested at the facility and charged with aggravated assault. Mapp, who is being held without bond, reportedly works at the plant and surrendered to the police at the scene without incident. Motive in the stabbing is unclear at this time, according to Atlanta Police Major John Dalton.

The supervisor was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with lacerations to the face and ear and seven stab wounds to his back. He remains there in stable condition
