Nelson Heights van damaged in commissioner's driveway

COVINGTON, Ga. - A vehicle belonging to the Nelson Heights Community Center is currently sitting outside of a local collision repair shop after a tree reportedly "struck" the unoccupied vehicle in Newton County District 4 Commissioner J.C. Henderson's driveway May 13.

According to the Covington Police Department incident report, Covington City Councilman Anthony Henderson is listed as the complainant in the incident at 11:04 p.m. 

"The tree struck an unoccupied vehicle parked in the driveway at this location (7134 Puckett St.) causing damage to the rear passenger side and rear end of the vehicle," CPD Officer Kevin Thompson reported.
