Newton County pups will be strutting their stuff Oct. 8, at the annual Mutt Show on the square.
But don't let the name fool you. Just because it's called a Mutt Show doesn't mean purebred dogs aren't welcome as well. As long as they are friendly, leashed, at least 6-months-old and have had their rabies vaccination, they are welcome to come.
Categories this year will be most beautiful, most handsome, best trick, best dressed, look alike, best kisser and most obedient. Ribbons will be given in each category for first, second and third place winners.
As the Humane Society's biggest annual fundraiser, all donations will be used to help with the spay and neuter program and other education programs. There is no actual charge to participate but donations are always welcome.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and judging will start promptly at 10 a.m.
