Governor Nathan Deal and Commissioner of Agriculture Gary Black hosted the annual Ag Day at the Freight Depot on Tuesday. Ag Day is the kickoff for National Agriculture Week and provides an opportunity to promote and raise awareness of the state’s largest industry. Agriculture contributes $76.9 billion annually to the state’s economy. The event once again proved to be a great success bringing hundreds of participants from all over the state. Visitors sampled various Georgia grown products while learning about the state’s largest industry.
