Bridge rehab work is continuing on I-20 eastbound next week and the far left lane will be closed for milling and asphalt work.
The lane will be closed between mile markers 92 (the Alcovy Road exit) and 95, which is in between the Ga. Highway 11 and Ga. Highway 142 exits, from noon Sunday through 8 a.m. Thursday, weather permitting.
The Georgia Dept. of Transportation is rehabbing two bridges on the interstate over Alcovy River and over the Alcovy River Overflow.
Transportation department spokeswoman Cissy McNure said a flagman may be used for this work and asked motorists to use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in work zones.
