A full house heard an Atlanta legend, Michelle Malone, perform at The Listening Room at Irish Bred Pub Friday, Aug. 12, in a memorable evening featuring two excellent performances.

Local favorite Hannah Thomas opened up the show with a very fine performance, playing several new songs off her soon-to-be-released record. She consistently wowed the crowd with her strong and resonating vocals and her superb country-meets-blues guitar licks.
Everybody seemed to really enjoy it, including Malone who said of Thomas, "she's so talented...it's really been fun watching her develop as an artist these last few years."

Speaking of Malone, the Atlanta legend was everything her reputation indicated.

Malone exuded pure joy with everything she sang and played during her performance. Her beautiful voice, super-strong songwriting, and incredible guitar playing added to it.

Malone said in an interview following her performance, she has made a conscious effort throughout the last year to create “a joy machine” that encapsulates the concepts of always "taking the chance" and striving towards "jubilant living".

One of the highlights of her set was a new song, "Romona," which Michelle introduced talking about the essence of that thing that is "The Southern Experience".
