Social services director at PruittHealth – Covington Antonia Johnson has received the Georgia Health Care Association’s (GHCA) Social Services Professional of the Year award. 

Johnson was presented with the award during the Stars in Long Term Care awards ceremony at the 2024 GCHA Winter convention and expo.

This award honors social services professionals who go above and beyond to meet the needs of their patients and families, who work tirelessly to improve the quality of care provided, and who display exceptional professionalism in all their interactions.

Presenting the award to Johnson were Lorie Scroggs, Administrator at PruittHealth – Covington and Suzanne Gerhardt, Sr. area vice president of PruittHealth and chair of GHCA.

“Her dedication to providing high-quality care is felt by her patients every day, and we are proud of Antonia and this recognition,” a press release stated.
