Laura Holcomb Barnes, age 53 of McDonough, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, John I. “Butch” Barnes, McDonough; daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Jason McBay, Covington; son, John Barnes, McDonough; mother, Elizabeth “Beth” Holcomb, Jonesboro; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marcia and Jeff Pundsack, Jonesboro, Sandra and Jerry Oglesbee, McDonough; granddaughters, Brynlee and Ellison McBay and many nieces and nephews. Laura graduated from Young Harris College in 1978, then graduated from North Georgia College in 1980 where she was a member of
