The 286th Graduation Class of the Georgia Public Safety Training Center-Athens Academy held their graduation on June 10 at the Winder Community Center. Three Newton County Sheriff’s deputies were among the graduates: Deputy Andrew Archie, Deputy Destiny McKnight and Corporal Tremelle Riley. Archie and McKnight will be joining the Uniform Patrol Division Riley will remain with the Detention Division.
