The Newton County Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) is teaming up with Help Moving Hearts for its second annual luggage drive for children entering foster care. The luggage provides foster children with a suitable way to transport personal items between homes. Many times, children taken in to DFCS custody are forced to pack their clothing and other essential items in garbage or grocery bags, according to Newton County DFCS Director William D. Thomas.
