Former Rockdale star Bernard Thompson scores a game-high 23 points to help Florida Gulf Coast make history in the NCAA Tournament Sunday night.

The Eagles, being called a "phenomenon" by tournament commentators became the first No. 15 seed to ever reach the tournament's Sweet 16.

In its first ever NCAA Tournament appearance, Florida Gulf Coast, which beat No. 2 seed Georgetown in the second round will play Florida Friday at North Texas.
