PREP RIFLERY: Redskins rifle team takes sixth at state

STATESBORO, Ga. — On April 23, the Social Circle High School varsity rifle team put together a noteworthy performance at the 2022 GHSA State Rifle Meet at Georgia Southern University. 

The Redskins were led by senior Megan Townsend who shot a 291 aling with 17 bullseyes. Townsend’s score earned her top 10 individual honors. 

Its sixth place state finish just added to the 2022 resume Social Circle put together. The Redskins concluded the regular season undefeated and claimed the area championship.
