At a MLK showcase hosted by Evans High School, Newton boys basketball (17-2, 5-1 Region 2-AAAAAA) came away victorious in a 75-46 rout against Glenn Hills for the Rams’ 12th straight win.

JD Notae led Newton with 27 points. Dante Johnson added 12 points and five rebounds and Ashton Hagans had a terrific all-around game with 11 points, eight assists, six steals and four rebounds.

The Rams, currently ranked sixth in the latest Score Atlanta poll and seventh on MaxPreps in 2-AAAAAA, have their eyes set on a rematch with Tucker this Friday at home beginning at 7:30 p.m.
