COVINGTON, Ga. — While the 2018 World Cup begins its  Round of 16, our local Covington YMCA begins the spring 2018 adult soccer playoffs.

Play begins Sunday July 1 with five knockout matches scheduled at the Covington YMCA Outdoor Center.

United plays Brazil beginning at 2 p.m. Big Green plays No Subs at 3 p.m. and Yellow plays Why Nots at 4:15 p.m.

The winner of the Big Green vs No Subs match will advance to the semi-finals to play Gomez, who received a bye into the

semi-finals. That match is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. The other two match winners will meet at 6:45 p.m. in the other semi-final.

The Championship match will be played Sunday July 8 at the Outdoor Center.

Teams are all co-ed squads composed of many local talented players.
