Newton County welcomed Atlanta Brave Evan Gattis to City Pond Park Saturday morning, as the first-year Brave and former University of Georgia standout Kyle Farmer presented the Game Time Evan Gattis MVP Baseball Camp.
The camp, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. had more than 100 campers, parents and instructors in attendance.
Gattis, Farmer and Gametime staff taught up-and-coming players baseball basics from hitting and throwing to base running and pitching.
Gattis and Farmer closed the camp with a home-run exhibition, splashing down plenty of homers into City Pond while campers and their families looked on.
The camp was produced by Everett Sports Marketing, a company that represents athletes throughout the Southeast.
