Multiple Eagles place and advance at Region 8-AAAA meet
Eastside Track and Field 2025

BOGART, Ga. — Multiple Eastside Eagles placed at the Region 8-AAAA meet this past Wednesday at North Oconee High School. 

As a team, the Eagles’ boys team finished in fourth place with a score of 89, while the Lady Eagles finished in seventh place with a score of 38.


Davis leads the way for Eastside’s boys team


It was another strong meet for the senior in the sprint events.

Davis left the Region 8-AAAA meet with first place medals in both the boys’ 200-meter and 400-meter. Davis ran a time of 21.92 in the 200-meter and a time of 48.45 in the 400-meter.

The other first place finish for the boys team came in the 4x400-meter relay, where they claimed the top placement with a time of 3:25.42.

Eastside’s boys team also finished in third place in both the 4x100(42.86) and the 4x800(8:49.54).

Chance Henderson finished in second place in the boys’ 3200-meter run with a time of 10:25.55. Henderson also claimed fifth in the boys’ 1600-meter run with a time of 4:43.62.

Kendall Bryant took home second in the boys’ long jump with a distance of 22-9.

In the 200-meter, Sebastian Gizzi finished behind Davis in third place with a time of 22.49. Antwan Anderson ran a 51.08 in the 400-meter to earn fourth place.

Ja’Vonte Cherry-Lettsome finished in fifth place in the boys’ 300-meter hurdles with a time of 42.05.

Marion Eubanks ran 11.27 in the boys’ 100-meter dash to claim fifth place.

In the boys’ discus, Xavier Joseph claimed sixth place with a score of 36-9.5.


Trisch brings home first place for Lady Eagles


Eastside senior Kamarra Trisch earned first place for the Lady Eagles in the girls’ 400-meter. Trisch ran a time of 56.48 in the event. 

The other first place finish for the girls team came in the 4x400 relay, where they earned first with a time of 4:09.01. 

The first place finish in the relay event meant that Eastside swept the 4x400 relay for both the girls competitions.

Allison Brooks finished behind Trisch in the 400-meter in third place with a time of 1:00.98.

Outside of the 4x400, the girls team earned fourth place in the 4x100(50.30) and fifth place in the 4x200(1:57.43).


What’s next


Eastside will send multiple athletes to the next event, which will be the Class AAAA sectionals on Saturday, May 3. The Eagles will be familiar with the setting as the event will also take place at North Oconee High School.
