Eastside's competition cheerleading squad took home the top trophy last Saturday at its opening meet at Morgan County. The Lady Eagles look to keep things going Saturday at Alcovy. Eastside will be one of the county teams participating in a county-wide competition. Along with Alcovy and Eastside, Cousins, Indian Creek and Veterans middle schools will compete.

Eastside's team is coached by Lin Lindsay. The team members are Savannah LeClair, Hannah Reagan, Lauren Stone, Holly Croom, Kelsey Butler, McKenzie Crowe, Jaleesa Beaver, Chelsea Ellington, Lauren Thomas, Nicole Clayton, Tyrin Turner, Brianna Smith, Kaitlyn Bouchillon, Jenna Hicks, Mishay Allen, Alex Garner, McKenzie McGowan, Hannah Green, Christina Powell, Micaela Stegall, McKinley Daraich and Maggie Berry.
