Rain kept the Eastside and Alcovy tennis teams from completing their intra-county match, but the Eagles showed their dominance during the time they were able to play.

The girls got more action in than the boys, and it was Eastside’s top singles players, Savannah Fear and Caroline Dumdie capturing 8-2 and 8-5 wins, respectively. On the boys side, No. 1 singles player Justin Wagstaff of Eastside took his match 8-3 and the Nos. 1 and 2 doubles teams won 8-1 respectively.

The rain came before the boys could get their Nos. 2 and 3 singles matches in, while Eastside girls’ No. 3 singles player Maddie Lunt was in the midst of chopping down a 5-1deficit before the rain came. When the action was forced to stop, Lunt was down just 5-4. No. 1 doubles players Molly carter and Savannah Zarna were ahead in their first game before the weather came.
