The Alcovy girls varsity basketball team fell 84-45 in the opening round of the Class AAAAAA state tournament to Hillgrove on the road.

The Lady Tigers fell behind 22-6 after halftime and trailed by 27 at the break.

MacKenzie Engram led three Lady Hawks in double figures with 18 points, while Zarriah Pierce and Ja'lyn Reese scored 14 points each.

Alcovy ends its 2013-2014 season with a 10-19 overall record and a 5-7 mark in Region 2-AAAAAA.
